Show and tell about places in nature that were, or are, important to you. Big majestic places, or everyday places.
Who: Kevin
Where: Norris Reservation, Norwell
Why: This small reservation is a perfect escape from a long day. The
trail winds through a mixed forest, skirting a small pond, and a bubbling
brook. If you hike back along the brook there is a secret log perfect to
rest and think on. The trail winds toward the North River, and follows
this water route once used by Native Americans. American Holly trees line
the path. It follows towards a boathouse, and continues back in through a
solitary forest. It is especially beautiful in the winter when the marsh
grass along the river freezes up. Also wonderful at sunset. The best place
on the South Shore to be close to nature!
